Next poll: Does Vel take candy from strangers?

So far Vel seems like the curious type, doesn't she? Let's avoid all possible cliches concerning feline inquisitiveness and premature demise. It should be interesting to learn more about this wild-eyed, colorful creature.

We've done a couple posts on scheduling so far, and I hope this will be the last. Alternate Endings is the first webcomic Roz and I have collaborated on, and both of us have seen our obligations outside of the strip increase with the coming of winter. That being said you'll still see one issue a month, comprised of several pages of art and story, produced at the highest standard we can offer. As much as we would love to kick out 6-9 pages of awesome every other week, the schedule also must service the story.

Thank you for all the support we've seen so far. This gig may not pay the bills, but it warms our hearts and stokes the flames of our imaginations. See you in the funny papers.

Halloween Comic-fest!

You may have noticed a distinct lack of poll this weekend.  Have no fear! The poll is coming!  On October 27th Nick and I will be at Comicfest hosted by own good friends at Lonestar Comics - Plano! We felt like it would be interesting to have the poll up and running during the in-store event.  We’ll have buttons and stickers, prints to look at, and maybe even some event exclusive content. So, locals, tell your friends!

On a somewhat related note.  I’m finding it difficult to create the art I want in the time I have allotted for myself.  Life tends to throw obstacles in the way.  So, we’ll be playing with the schedule a bit in the coming weeks and hopefully, we can figure out a schedule that is good for all of us involved.  Our goal is to keep you guys entertained, have some fun storytelling, and keep ourselves sane. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Troublemakers

Seems that the majority of our voting public seems to think Vel's a bit of a handful and want to send her sneaking off on her own excursion into the Infinite Bazaar. Fair enough. We'll just have to deal with the consequences of such delinquency later. *winks*

The Jagger Fallacy

Time, it turns out, is not on my side.

Onto the business of writing awkward posts.  Roz and I want to bring you the best work we can without a compromising its quality. To do so and still manage to uphold our other commitments to school, family, and gainful employment will not happen if we remain on our current schedule. Our lives or the comic will suffer, and we would rather that neither option happen. Thus we must find a middle path. We have a story we want to tell with you guys, one that presents itself more as an online comic book than a comic strip. Going forward, we'll be uploading pages over the course of two weeks and running a one week poll between issues. If that schedule needs tweaking, we'll tweak it until it works.

We want to thank you all for the support we have received with the comic so far. Roz and I are committed to this project; it's a labor of love for us both. Of course, there's also Vel to consider. Her story has a beginning, a middle, and an end, but we can't reach the terminus of her journey without your help. Once we do, we'll crack open the cover on a new volume and see where the tale takes us. Stick around while we iron the kinks out of the process. It'll be a wild ride.

Late schmate!

Roz here!
Phew, this post is coming in late!  Sorry about the delay folks.  I kid you not - a buzzard flew into some wires at our power substation and fried our section of the grid last night.  Everyone's a critic.
Also wanted to take a moment to say a few things about the art.  I'm still trying to get my style legs on this comic, so you may see changes in how the art looks from week to week.  Nothing too drastic.  I'm trying to figure out the most comfortable - and efficient - process.  Hopefully, the art will get tighter and the style will settle out with time.  I know from my work on Napkin People, that after a while you stop thinking about how everything should look and things sort of work themselves out.
Thanks for your continued support!  We could not do this comic without you!
